Morning Observations

1. I can't remember the last time I left the house my house wearing silk long underwear. And I also can't remember the temperature ever being 15°F.

2. The coffee wench at the coffee shop tried to give my coffee to someone else. I don't like her and now I remember why I stopped going to that particular coffee shop.

3. I am happy for the three day weekend.

4. I am estatic about being in Southern California for 5 days next week. So what if I have to work all five days? I will be working close to the beach!

It's a New Year

Well, the new year rang in with not so much as a bang. At 7pm we went to happy hour at my favorite brewpub downtown. As we drove past parking garages offering parking for $12, we settled for free street parking around the corner from the brewpub. Certain that we wouldn't get a table at the bar, we had our choice of tables.

Good luck if you get a flat in the city.
After several months of being out of service, I decided to get my car up and running yesterday. It required two simple things, a jump and air to inflate a couple of flat tires. Kevin was kind enough to give me a jump to get the car running. But it wasn't until we got to the 5th gas station that we were able to inflate the tires. The gas stations were either closed, or they didn't have pumps or the air pumps they did have didn't work.
